Sicilian Brussels Sprouts

recipe for roasted Brussels sprouts with golden raisins, pine nuts, capers, Sicilian salsa

Every year I am asked to bring Brussels sprouts to Thanksgiving dinner and naturally the chef in me insists on doing something different every year (probably not what people want, but hey just like Sammy Davis Jr I've gotta me ;) For this preparation salsa can be done up to a week ahead of time. Brussels sprouts are really best served hot, so sear them ahead of time and then just a quick flash in the oven before tossing with the Sicilian salsa, makes for an easy side dish when hosting or asked to bring something to someones house.

Instead of Brussels Sprouts, try cauliflower, broccoli or green beans.
